Emergency lighting is tested on a recurring basis – function and duration – and the records have to be available.
This template turns the test into a small system: each test is recorded with who tested, date and result, failures get an action, and the history stays put.
| Fixture / zone | Test type | Performed by | Date | Result | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stairwell EL-12 | Function test | Dana M. | 2026-06-01 | Pass | Resolved |
| Exit sign EL-03 | Duration test | Dana M. | 2026-06-01 | Fail | Fail |

What is this – and what isn't it?
It's a test log that shows emergency-lighting tests were carried out, with a traceable history. It doesn't replace your judgement of which requirements and intervals apply.
How often should emergency lighting be tested?
Typically a monthly function test and an annual duration test, but set the test type and "action due by" to match your situation. The tool logs the tests; it doesn't enforce intervals for you.
Does it cost anything to start?
No. Open it as an app and start logging right away, no sign-in. You sign in only to save and invite colleagues.
